Jog with a Frog 5K & 1 Mile Walk
The Jog with a Frog event takes place in Painesville Township, Ohio. This athletic event is organized to raise awareness and provide support for Project Hope for the Homeless, which serves as an emergency shelter in Lake County. Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Walk
The course begins at the Project Hope for the Homeless driveway on Freedom Road. Participants travel along Newell Street and Blackbrook Road, with 5K runners continuing to a water stop at the Callendar Blvd cul-de-sac before returning. The route includes segments through Newell Street and the Lubrizol entrance before finishing back at the shelter horseshoe.
For the 5K race, the top three male and female finishers receive awards. Recognition is also provided for the top three finishers in several age categories, ranging from 14 and younger to 70 and older. The 1 Mile Walk is an untimed event and does not include competitive awards.
The first 150 registered participants receive an event t-shirt. On-site registration and packet pick-up are located at the shelter on the morning of the event. Parking is available at the Dyson Corporation lot, situated just west of the event location on Freedom Road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
