Jim Beavers Memorial Graveyard Gallop
The Homesteader Museum presents the 5th Annual Jim Beavers Memorial Graveyard Gallop on October 31, 2026 in Powell, Wyoming. The event offers three out-and-back running and walking courses that pass by the cemetery and begin and end at the race location on Lane 9.
Distances include:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 1 mile
Registration opens July 13, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. Posted registration fees are $25 for the 10K, $20 for the 5K, and $10 for the 1 mile. Prizes will be awarded upon completion of the races.
Participants may wear Halloween costumes or Green and Yellow Green Bay Packers gear. All funds raised will go to the Homesteader Museum Association, Inc. to support children’s scholarships for museum workshops and education and professional development training.
Shirts ordered after October 16 will not be available on race day but can be picked up at the Homesteader Museum during Sample the Seasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
