Course and race details
The course will be marked with flags and arrow signs at major turns. An aid station offering water and Gatorade is located just past mile 3. The trails may include mud, standing water, insects, and a pond crossing near the end; a detour around the pond is available and adds about 0.10 mile. Timing is described as "old school": finishers receive a timing stick that must be returned to receive awards. Water, Gatorade, snacks, and a participant water bottle are provided after the race. There is no formal awards ceremony; overall male and female winners and top three in age groups receive medals when the timing stick is turned in.

Published registration prices include $28.74 (early) and $39.44 for the later tier (Apr 1 – May 23). The Crazy Legs Race Series states its purpose is to promote non-pavement and pavement races in Northwest Indiana and includes an inclusion policy allowing runners to register according to their gender identity.
