Event Overview
The Jersey Genesis Triathlon, Duathlon, and Aquabike event marks its 30th anniversary. It features several multisport formats. All events start and finish at Harry Bowen Memorial Park in Port Republic, New Jersey.
Distances
The event offers the following race formats:
- Triathlon with a 1/2 mile swim, 16 mile bike, and 4 mile run.
- Triathlon with a 1/4 mile swim, 16 mile bike, and 4 mile run.
- Duathlon with a 2 mile run, 16 mile bike, and 4 mile run.
- Aquabike with a 1/2 mile swim and 16 mile bike.
- Relay team options are available for the triathlon and duathlon events.
Course Details
The swim takes place at Port Republic Beach, noted for calm, clean water with very little current. The bike course is an out-and-back route on quiet, traffic-controlled country roads described as fast and flat with several rolling hills and some newly paved sections. The run is a loop through historic Port Republic on traffic-controlled roads, passing by the beach area.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is digital only, with no paper applications or cash accepted. Online registration closes at the start of the race. A USAT membership is required for all participants. The event includes packet pickup on the Friday evening before the race and on race morning.
Awards and Series
The event is part of the DQ Events Grand Prix and Club Challenge series, where participants can earn points. Awards are offered across multiple categories, including overall, age group, Clydesdale/Athena, Masters, and Port Resident divisions. Top finishers in the triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike events receive cash prizes, long sleeve sweatshirts, and other awards. A custom finisher's medal and custom tank top are included.
