Jackson County Ultras
The Jackson County Ultras is a trail running event held at the Pyoca Camp and Retreat Center in Brownstown, Indiana. The event features a variety of distances held on a rugged course through the local landscape. The facility provides participants with an indoor heated space for drop bags and crew, along with access to showers and restrooms.
The event offers several race options:
- 100k
- 100k Relay (teams of 2 to 6 participants)
- 50k
- 10 Mile
- 1 Mile Fun Run or Hike
All distances have a 24-hour cut-off time. Participants in the 100k individual and relay events have access to live tracking. Finishers of the 100k distance receive a belt buckle, while all other participants receive finisher medals and eligibility for age group awards.
The race headquarters at the Pyoca Camp and Retreat Center offers weekend-long packages that include lodging and full meals. Additional camping is available nearby at the Jackson-Washington State Forest, which features primitive campsites. Post-race food is provided at the camp facility, including options such as chili, soup, sandwiches, and salads.
