Iyopawa Island 4th of July 5K
The Iyopawa Island 5K is a community run/walk held on July 4 on Iyopawa Island in Coldwater, MI. This is the second annual edition and the event is untimed. Registration has no entry fee, and donations are accepted as an optional entry contribution.
The course starts at the Iyopawa Island Golf clubhouse and consists of two laps around the island to complete the 5K distance. The looped route places participants near spectators throughout the course. The event is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels and is described as suitable for running or walking.
Official event t-shirts are available for purchase for $10. Ordering a shirt is optional and t-shirts may be ordered for nonparticipants; at least one registered participant is required to place shirt orders so a contact person can be identified for pickup.
Parking on the island is very limited; the event is primarily accessible to those who can reach the starting area by foot or golf cart. A small number of parking spaces are available on the island. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
