Iyopawa Island 4th of July 5K
The event is a community 5K fun run and walk held on July 4, 2026, on Iyopawa Island in Coldwater, Michigan. It is presented as the second annual edition and the course is untimed. Registration for the event is free.
The course begins at the Iyopawa Island Golf clubhouse and consists of two laps around the island to make the full 5K distance. The route is described as a loop around the island with spectator access along much of the way. Family participation is encouraged and the event is open to a range of ages and abilities.
Official event t shirts are available for purchase at ten dollars each. Ordering a shirt is optional and shirts may be ordered for participants or non participants. At least one person must be registered for the event to place shirt orders so there is a contact person for pickup.
Organizers offer the option to make a donation in lieu of an entry fee to support a local charity or cause; donations are voluntary. Parking on the island is very limited, and the event is primarily intended for those who can reach the start area on foot or by golf cart.
