Islandeady Fun Run 2026
The Islandeady Fun Run takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Jack's Old Cottage, Derrycooraune, Islandeady, Castlebar (F23 AW97). The event is organised by Islandeady Cycling Club and has an approved permit, cert.no: 26/406. Courses are officially measured and licensed by Athletics Ireland and chip timing will be used for results.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km, two laps of the 5 km route
The route follows a clockwise direction and starts and finishes at Jack's Old Cottage. Parking is available near Jack's Cottage. Online adult entry is priced at €15 (plus booking fees) for registrations completed before 12:00 on July 31, 2026; in-person adult entry is €20 on August 1 or August 2. Entrants under 16 years of age may participate free of charge.
Race numbers are available for collection on the evening before the event or on the morning of race day. A race briefing will take place before the start. Funds raised at the event will be donated to Islandeady Community Council and Islandeady GAA/LGFA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
