Isel Cross Race
The Isel Cross Race takes place on Saturday 4 April 2026 at Cockermouth School, Great Britain. The event is organised by Derwent AC and contains a single 10 km race. The minimum entry age is 15.
The course begins at Cockermouth School. The first three miles run on undulating road before a climb on uneven track through Setmurthy Woods. Runners return downhill to the school across fields. The highest point of the course is exposed to the elements and warmer layers may be required. Participants are advised to choose footwear suitable for the terrain and likely weather conditions. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Under UKA rules the use of earphones is banned on open roads.
Entry fee is listed at £12.00 plus additional fees. The event is sponsored by Ice Peak, Cockermouth; entrants receive a 10% discount on most Ice Peak stock over the Easter weekend on proof of entry, and vouchers are provided for the first three male and female finishers. Every finisher receives an Easter Egg.
Parking at Cockermouth School is limited; alternative parking is available on nearby roads and attendees are asked not to block access. The race will be fully chip timed and live results will be available via the timing provider. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
