Event details
The IRVINE 4th of July - Red, White, & Blue event takes place at Irvine Valley College, Lot 5 (5500 Irvine Center Dr., Irvine, CA 92618). The course is a flat, out-and-back route entirely on the college campus. The event program includes the following distances and activities:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile
- Zero K (collect shirt and medal at the site)
- Diaper Dash - 100 yards / Kid's 200 yards
- 5K & 1 Mile combo (one shirt, two medals, two bibs)
A live National Anthem performance and a Fife & Drum Corps are scheduled as part of race day entertainment. The event is hosted by Caren Ware Events and chip-timed by Itz About Time.
Logistics and participant information
Race morning bib and shirt pickup is available at Lot 5; an optional early packet pickup is offered on Friday, July 3 at Manassero Farms on the Irvine Valley College campus. Irvine Valley College requires a $5 parking fee per vehicle; entrance is allowed from Jeffrey Road only. Food vendors will be onsite offering coffee, cookies from Galletina’s, fresh fruit, tacos, and tamales; food vouchers can be pre-purchased during registration.
Registrants receive a custom 4th of July themed shirt, a 4-inch custom-cast finisher medal, chip timing, water and fruit at the finish, and eligibility for age-group and overall awards. Age-group awards are given in 5-year increments from 1–10 up to 85+. Strollers are permitted; participants must wear a visible bib to receive a finisher medal.
