Event Overview
The Irvine 4th of July Red, White, & Blue event offers a patriotic running celebration on July 4th. It features several race options, including a 5K Run/Walk, a 1 Mile fun run, a 5k & 1 Mile COMBO race, a kids' Diaper Dash, and a Zero K participation option. The event takes place at Irvine Valley College, with the main entrance off Jeffrey Road.
Course and Schedule
The 5K course is described as flat and fast, an out-and-back route entirely on the Irvine Valley College campus. The event includes a live performance of the National Anthem and entertainment by a Live Fife & Drum Corps before the races begin. A singalong and warm-up are also part of the opening ceremony.
Registration Benefits
Registration includes a custom 4th of July themed race shirt, a large finisher medal, and chip timing. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age group winners in five-year increments for both the 5K and 1 Mile events.
On-Site Details
Food and refreshments are available for purchase, including items like street tacos, tamales, coffee, cookies, and fresh fruit. Bib and shirt pickup begins on race morning, with an optional early pickup the day before. Parking at the college requires a $5 fee per vehicle. Strollers are permitted on the course.
