IRVINE 4th of July - Red, White, & Blue 5K & 1 Mile
This event takes place at Irvine Valley College, Lot 5 (entrance off Jeffrey Road). The 5K uses a flat, out-and-back course entirely on the college campus. The event setting includes live patriotic music, a professional National Anthem performance, and a fife and drum corps available for performances and photos.
Distances and options:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
- Zero K (shirt and medal pickup option)
- Kid's races: 1/2 mile, 1/4 mile, 100-yard Diaper Dash, 200 yards
- Combo: 5K and 1 Mile (one shirt, two medals, two bibs)
Registration benefits include a custom 4th of July themed race shirt, a large custom-cast finisher medal, chip-timed results with a custom bib, water and fruit at the finish, and eligibility for overall and age-group awards. Awards include top three male and female overall and age-group awards scored in five-year increments.
Logistics: bib and shirt pickup is available on race morning and there is an optional early packet pickup at Manassero Farms on the college campus. Parking on campus requires a paid pass and entrance is restricted to Jeffrey Road. Strollers are allowed but must stay to the right and are used at participants' own risk.
