Event Details
The Iron Eagle Paddle & Run is an adventure race and fundraiser taking place at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. All proceeds from the event benefit Eagle Creek Park. The event is open to participants of all ages.
Events & Participation
Participants can register as individuals or as part of a team. The available entry types are:
- Individual
- 2-Person Team
- 2-Person Team Relay
- 3-Person Team Relay Three-person teams are not eligible for prizes. Foundation members of Eagle Creek Park receive a discount on race entry.
The Course & Logistics
The event features a multi-segment course similar to a triathlon, with a designated transition area. The sequence is:
- A 2.6-mile trail run from the beach to the marina.
- A 1.5-mile paddle segment.
- A 2.6-mile trail run back to the beach.
For the paddle segment, participants can bring their own kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard, with a personal flotation device (PFD) required. Alternatively, boats can be rented in advance through Eagle Creek Outfitters, with a portion of each rental donated to the park foundation. Dogs are not permitted at the event.
