Irish Runner 5 Mile Challenge, Phoenix Park, Dublin
The Irish Runner 5 Mile Challenge is the second race in the 2026 Athletics Ireland Race Series, scheduled for 21 June 2026 at Phoenix Park, Dublin. The event has a permit number 24/471 and includes the National 5 Mile Championships as part of the programme.
The race is chip timed and provides on-course pacers. Finishers receive a medal and entrants can opt to purchase an event T shirt. A free four week training plan, building on a prior 5K programme, will be available from 18 May 2026. Race packs including bib numbers and t shirts are eligible for free postage within Ireland and Northern Ireland for entries made before 10 June 2026; entries made after 11 June may collect race packs on the day.
Series entry options are offered for the three events in the series, listed below, with a bundled price available for entering all three together. Individual entry listings show the 5 Mile ticket with postage included for entries before 10 June at €28.
