The Irish Runner 5 Mile is a chip-timed race in Dublin's Phoenix Park on 21 June 2026. It's the second event in the Athletics Ireland Race Series and also hosts the National 5 Mile Championships. Finishers get a medal, with pacers and an optional training plan available.

Irish Runner 5 Mile

The Irish Runner 5 Mile is part of the 2026 Athletics Ireland Race Series. It takes place in Phoenix Park, Dublin on Sunday, 21 June 2026.

The event is chip-timed and includes on-course pacers. All finishers receive a medal. An optional event t-shirt is available.

A free 4-week training plan for the 5-mile distance will be available from 18 May 2026. This plan builds on a 5K program.

For participants in Ireland and Northern Ireland, bib numbers and t-shirts are posted for free on entries made before 10 June 2026. Entries made on or after 11 June must collect their race pack on the event day.

This race also serves as the National 5 Mile Championships. Entries close on 19 June 2026, or when capacity is reached. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
