Athletics Ireland Race Series: Irish Runner 10 Mile
The Irish Runner 10 Mile is a road racing event held in Phoenix Park, Dublin. This competition serves as the final installment of the annual Athletics Ireland Race Series and incorporates the National 10M Championships. The course is specifically designed for runners who have a minimum status of being 18 years of age or over on the 31st of December in the year of competition.
Participants receive a finishers medal upon completion of the course. All participants are chip timed to ensure accurate results, which are later published on a dedicated results website. During the registration process, there is an optional opportunity to purchase an event t-shirt. For those unable to attend the physical event in Dublin, a virtual participation option is available. Virtual runners must complete the 10 mile distance within a specified three-day window and submit their proof of time via an online portal to appear on the virtual leaderboard.
Registration is open to both Athletics Ireland members and non-members. Non-members are required to purchase a One Day License to participate. The event also allows for charitable fundraising, where runners can nominate a chosen charity during the entry process. Training support is provided through a range of downloadable plans tailored for beginner and intermediate levels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
