About the race
The Life Style Sports Irish ¾ Marathon is a certified 31.65 km (19.66 mile) race held in Longwood, Co. Meath. The course is an anti-clockwise loop that runs through surrounding countryside and along stretches of the Grand Canal corridor.
Terrain is gently rolling with a total elevation gain under 80 metres. The event offers a professionally measured and certified course with chip timing, a bespoke running T-shirt, a finisher’s medal, finish-line refreshments, and a photowall. Pacers are provided for marathon preparation at sub-3, sub-3:30, sub-4 and sub-4:30 marathon paces. The event is wheelchair accessible and follows Athletics Ireland rules for age limits; the minimum age for the distance is 18 years. Logistics include a supervised bag drop beside the start area, official parking at two locations, and toilets at the start/finish and at approximately 5 km, 10.5 km, 15 km, 21.5 km and 26.5 km.
Water stations with cups are available at the same kilometre points. Showers and changing facilities are not provided. Race numbers are posted to many entrants before the event subject to a postal cut-off; replacement numbers incur a €20 fee.
