Event Overview

The Ipswich Twilight 10K is a summer running event held on July 17, 2026. It takes place in Ipswich, with the start and finish line located at Portman Road, the home stadium of Ipswich Town Football Club.

The Races

Three separate events are scheduled for the evening.

• The main Twilight 10K race.
• A 2K Family Wave fun run.
• A Daily Mile event, which is for invited schools only.

The 10K route begins at the football stadium and proceeds through Ipswich's main shopping area and historic town centre. Runners pass landmarks such as the Corn Exchange and Town Hall. The event traditionally attracts significant spectator support.

Entry Information

Registration is handled online. Entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred, though transfers may be possible. A discount is offered for participants affiliated with England Athletics upon providing their URN.

• The 10K entry fee is 32.00 GBP. The minimum age is 15, with parental consent required for all participants under 18.
• The 2K Family Wave entry fee is 3.00 GBP for those aged 5 and over. Children under 5 can join with a paying adult and do not require a separate entry. All participants under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. All paid entries receive a medal.
• The Daily Mile is free to enter.

Charity Partner

The event's charity partner for 2026 is the Ipswich Town Foundation. This charity supports development programmes for young people and vulnerable adults in Suffolk.

Participant Rules

Under UK Athletics rules, only bone conduction sports headphones are approved for use during the road races. The use of traditional in-ear or over-ear headphones is prohibited and will lead to disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
