Route du Vin Luxembourg
Established in 1962, the Route du Vin is the oldest road race in Luxembourg athletics. The event takes place along the Moselle River, featuring a course that passes through the regional vineyards. It caters to a diverse field of participants, including both established athletes and amateur sports enthusiasts.
The event offers several distances for participants:
- 21.098 km (Half Marathon)
- 10 km
- 5 km
The course layout, updated in recent years, starts in Remich. Runners head toward Stadtbredimus before returning through Remich. The route then continues in the direction of Schengen before concluding back at the finish line in Remich. The half marathon typically sees approximately 2,500 participants at the starting line. The race is organized by the UrbanTrail de Luxembourg a.s.b.l. and serves as an official event within the Luxembourg athletics calendar.
