About the race
The ING Night Marathon Luxembourg is a multi-discipline sporting event that transforms the capital of the Grand Duchy into a large-scale festival. The course connects various districts, including the historic old town situated on sandstone cliffs and the modern financial center on the Kirchberg plateau. The event combines sports with cultural elements, such as a samba festival and public celebrations.
The event offers a variety of distances and formats:
- Marathon: 42.195 km
- Half Marathon: 21.0975 km
- Team Run: 42.195 km, completed as a relay by teams of up to four participants across four stages
- 5k Run For Success: A 5 km course starting at the Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (MUDAM)
- Minimarathon: 4.2 km for participants over 12 years of age
- Mini Minimarathon: 1 km for children under 12 years of age
- Roll & Run: 7.3 km through the Limpertsberg district for participants on wheels
Participants receive a medal upon crossing the finish line at Luxexpo The Box, with the option to book a personal engraving. Official timekeeping is managed via a transponder integrated into the bib number. Facilities include a pasta party on the Friday before the race and professional photographers stationed along the course and at the finish.
