Indy Runners Charity XC Challenge
The Indy Runners Charity XC Challenge takes place on September 7, 2026 at the Brebeuf High School XC Course in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event centers on a 5K cross-country format with team and virtual options.
Participants can join an existing charity team, create a new charity team, or participate virtually as a donation-only entry. Anchor charities for the event include Back on My Feet, Joseph Maley Foundation, Girls on the Run, and Outrun the Sun for melanoma research. Team entries direct half of the entry fees to the chosen charity; remaining funds are distributed based on team finishing place.
Race results use an age graded percent system to place competitors across age and gender divisions on a common scale. This is the event's ninth year; nearly $24,000 was distributed to charities during the first eight years of the challenge.
Registration opens on May 1. Pre-registration closes before the event to allow time for bib preparation, and on-site registration is available on race morning.
