Indy Runners Charity XC Challenge : September 7, 2026
The Indy Runners Charity XC Challenge is a team-based cross-country 5K held at the Brebeuf Jesuit High School XC Course in Indianapolis. This event is in its ninth year and follows previous editions held at different host sites; the organizers returned to Brebeuf after last year at North Central High School. Over the first eight years the event has distributed nearly $25,000 to multiple charities.
Entry options include joining an existing team, creating a new team, or a virtual support option that accepts donations only. Team captains are asked to include the chosen charity in the team name. For team entries, half of the entry fees collected for a team go directly to that team’s charity; the remaining funds are allocated based on race results using an Age Graded Percent scoring method that adjusts for age and gender.
A virtual registrant option allows supporters who cannot attend in person to contribute; virtual donations are pooled and distributed to the charities according to team finishing places. Registration opens May 1. Pre-registration will close at 6:00 pm on August 30 so bibs can be prepared, and on-site registration is available on race morning. Typical entry fees for team entries are listed as $30, and the virtual support option is donation-based. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
