Indy Races 2026
Indy Races takes place at Lake Shawnee, Shelter 1, 3400 SE Leisure Lane, Topeka, KS on September 19, 2026, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The event is offered in person with a virtual option.

- 1 Mile
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Race Around the Lake (6.8 miles)
- Virtual options: 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, 6.8 miles
The virtual option allows participants to walk, run, jog, bike, or swim anywhere : indoors or outdoors, at a gym, or on a treadmill. Each registered participant receives a commemorative race bib and a finishers medal. Registration opens September 30, 2025, and closes August 17, 2026; the stated registration fee is $45.00.
The event raises funds to support local families affected by pediatric cancer and has a stated fundraising goal of over $10,000. Organizers are also collecting items to include in HOPE bags for children ages 0 to 18 who are undergoing cancer treatment; those bags will be delivered to local children in the hospital at the end of September.
