About the race
The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon on November 7, 2026, includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K that start and finish in downtown Indianapolis. The USATF-certified courses are described as fast and flat and are used by first-time marathon and half marathon entrants as well as elite athletes. The event has hosted Olympians and thousands of Boston Marathon qualifiers since 2008. Participant resources and program pages are available for pace teams, adaptive athletes, elite athletes, participant tracking, on-course nutrition, a VIP experience, and related services. The event is organized by Beyond Monumental, a not-for-profit organization that supports youth health and well-being through running events and programs. The downtown location is centered in the Mile Square and passes through historic neighborhoods and past notable monuments.
Indianapolis is within a day’s drive of over half of the U.S. population, and the LEED-certified airport is about 15 minutes from downtown.
