CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon
The event on November 7, 2026 includes a Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K that start and finish in downtown Indianapolis. The USATF certified courses are described as fast and flat and are used by a range of athletes from first-time half marathon and marathon runners to elite competitors.
Runners pass through the heart of downtown, several historic neighborhoods and by prominent monuments. The race has been held since 2008 and has hosted Olympians and thousands of Boston Marathon qualifiers. Organizers note that Indianapolis is within a day’s drive for over half the U.S. population and that the LEED certified airport is about 15 minutes from downtown. Downtown hotel accommodations are positioned close to the race footprint known as the "mile square."
General registration for all in-person distances is sold out, with limited charity entries still available. The event is produced by Beyond Monumental, a not-for-profit organization that supports youth health and well-being through running events and programs.
