Event Overview
The Idaho High Mountain Triathlon takes place in eastern Valley County, Idaho, connecting Warm Lake and Yellow Pine. The event is point-to-point, starting at Warm Lake (elevation 5,300 ft) and finishing in Yellow Pine (elevation ~4,900 ft), with a route that crosses a summit at 7,300 ft.
Course Details
The course consists of three legs:
- A 1-mile open water swim.
- A 27-mile bike ride.
- A 7-mile run.
The bike course uses paved roads from Warm Lake to Landmark and dirt roads from Landmark to Yellow Pine. Traffic control is provided.

Post-Race and Logistics
The awards ceremony and after-party are held in Yellow Pine. Free local camping is available. Registration and donations are tax-deductible, as funds are managed by a non-profit organization (YPAC Corp.) and support local needs and future events.
