Idaho High Mountain Triathlon
The Idaho High Mountain Triathlon is a point to point event in Valley County, Idaho, on October 3, 2026. The course runs from Warm Lake to Yellow Pine and covers substantial elevation change, rising to a 7300' summit and finishing at about 4900' after beginning near 5300'.
The race consists of three legs:
- 1 mile open water swim
- 27 mile bike ride
- 7 mile run
The road surface is paved from Warm Lake to Landmark and dirt from Landmark to Yellow Pine. Traffic control will be in place along the course.
Event entries include an able bodied triathlon, an Adaptive Triathlon, a Triathlon Relay, an Adaptive Triathlon Relay, and a Mixed Adaptive Relay where at least one team member is able bodied. Relay teams must include three athletes. Sign in is scheduled the day before in the courtyard at Warm Lake Lodge.
Awards and the after party are held in Yellow Pine. Local camping is free and organizers provide information about lodging. Registrations and donations are tax deductible through YPAC Corp., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with funds supporting local needs and future editions of the event.
