Event Overview
The Ibstone Circle is an England Athletics affiliated running event located within the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. The race takes place on Ibstone Common and utilizes a course that crosses through the local countryside, including private sections of the Wormsley Estate. All profits from the event are donated to the Ibstone CE Primary School PTA to support the development of outdoor sports facilities.
Course Details
The event features mixed terrain circuits that provide views of the surrounding Chiltern landscape. Participants run on a variety of surfaces as they navigate the rural routes. The available distances include:
- 10 km timed run for participants aged 16 and over.
- 5 km timed run for participants aged 12 and over.
- 1 km Run in Colour fun run for children aged 4 to 11.
Facilities and Access
The event headquarters are situated on Ibstone Common, which serves as both the starting and finishing point for the races. On-site facilities include a secure bag drop area, a café, and ample car parking for visitors. The location is situated less than five miles from High Wycombe and Marlow, with primary road access via Junction 5 of the M40.
