About the race
Virgin Active HYROX Johannesburg is scheduled for 26 to 29 November 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec Road, Corner Rand Show Road, Johannesburg, 2091, South Africa. The event features multiple competition formats across divisions, including Men, Women, Doubles, Pro divisions, Relays, Corporate relays and Adaptive categories. Age group awards are presented in each division and certain age groups can earn qualification slots for the World Championships. The race package includes a HYROX finishers patch, individual finisher time with split timings for each workout, live leaderboard results during competition, aid stations positioned pre-, during and post-event, and the option to purchase professional photos.
Official event photography is provided by Sportograf; photos are indexed with facial recognition and become available about 48 hours after the race for viewing and purchase. Ticket options include Flex Add-Ons. The LITE FLEX Add-On permits one name change per ticket up to one day before the event and does not include refunds. The FLEX Add-On permits one name change up to one day before the event and offers full or partial refunds depending on how far in advance the request is made; refunds exclude Flex and service fees.
Tickets purchased without a Flex Add-On are final with no changes or refunds. Important check-in rules require athletes to bring ID and prohibit checking in on behalf of others.
