The event takes place on 28 November 2026 and 29 November 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec Road, Corner Rand Road, Johannesburg 2091, South Africa. Ticket sales are listed as starting soon.
Event formats and ticket types include Singles, Doubles, Relay, Charity, Spectator and Sportograf tickets. Some operational details remain to be confirmed, including the final race schedule, lap lengths and relay briefing.
Two Flex Add-Ons are offered at purchase. The LITE FLEX option permits one name change per ticket until 7:59 AM South Africa Standard Time one day before the event and does not allow refunds. The FLEX option permits one name change until 7:59 AM South Africa Standard Time one day before the event, a 100% refund until 7:59 AM South Africa Standard Time 31 days before the event and a 50% refund until 7:59 AM South Africa Standard Time 7 days before the event; refunds exclude Flex and service fees. Tickets purchased without a Flex Add-On do not allow changes or refunds. The Flex Add-On must be selected at purchase and cannot be added later.
On-site services and race features include the HYROX finishers patch, live leaderboard timing with individual finisher time and workout split timings, age group award ceremonies, qualification slots for certain age groups for the World Championships, aid stations before during and after the course, and the option to purchase professional photos. Athlete registration requires ID, checking in on behalf of others is not allowed, and during race weekend it is only possible to check in on the day the athlete competes. Sportograf provides event photography using facial recognition and typically makes images available about 48 hours after the race; pre purchased photo packages use a Sportograf Ticket ID that is available after ticket personalization.
