About the race
Virgin Active HYROX Johannesburg takes place 26–29 November 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec. The event features multiple competition formats including singles, doubles, relays, professional divisions, adaptive divisions and corporate categories across the four-day program. Athlete services and event features include the HYROX finishers patch, live leaderboard results with individual finisher times and split timings for each workout, age-group award ceremonies, qualification slots for certain age groups for the World Championships, aid stations placed before, during and after the course, and opportunities to purchase professional race photos from the official photography partner, Sportograf. Ticket flexibility options are offered at purchase. Tickets with the LITE FLEX add-on allow one name change until 7:59 AM South Africa Standard Time one day before the event but do not permit refunds.
Tickets with the FLEX add-on allow one name change until 7:59 AM one day before the event, a 100% refund up to 31 days before the event, and a 50% refund up to 7 days before the event; refunds exclude Flex and service fees. Tickets bought without a Flex add-on have no changes or refunds after purchase. The Flex add-on must be selected at purchase and cannot be added later. Athlete check-in requires ID, checking in on behalf of another person is not permitted, and on-site check-in is only possible on the day the athlete competes.
