Houston Party in the Park
Houston Party in the Park is a free community event on August 8, 2026, held on the grass west of the Tennis Center at Memorial Park in Houston, TX. The program combines running club activities with a community gathering that includes refreshments and live music.
The event features an individual 5K RSVP option and activities organized by local running clubs. Vendor spaces are offered for local and national organizations; listed fees include $35 for Houston area non profit, $75 for Houston area for profit, $75 for national non profit, and $100 for national for profit. Donations are optional and will be used to fund free events hosted by running clubs collaborating with HARRA, the umbrella running organization for the Houston area.
Member clubs may bring tents at no charge to showcase their groups; space arrangements are handled by the organizers. Refreshments provided during the event include watermelon, Gatorade, and other beverages. A live DJ will run a music zone with dancing and a music program. Community runs will meet at the Party in the Park Arch unless noted otherwise. The event schedule includes open mic sessions in front of the HARRA tent with three minute slots and concludes with a closing segment that includes thank yous, community shout outs, and a raffle with prize giveaways.
