Houston Party in the Park

Event Information
The Houston Party in the Park is a free community running event presented by the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA). It takes place at Memorial Park, on the grass area west of the Tennis Center.
The event includes multiple scheduled group runs and activities. These include:
- A 1 Loop Challenge with the Houston Harriers.
- A run/walk session with The Woodlands Galloway Training Program, offering pace groups of 11:00-13:00 and 14:00-15:00 minutes per mile.
- A community 5K run with the Houston Striders.
- A kids run with distances of 1 mile and 3 miles hosted by the Chevron Houston Marathon.
- Two open mic sessions for participants.
- Live DJ music and dancing from 8:00 AM.
Free refreshments, such as watermelon and Gatorade, are provided. Running clubs affiliated with HARRA can reserve tent space for free to showcase their groups. Optional donations are accepted to fund future free events.
