Hot Summer Singletrack Trail Race : July 18, 2026
The Hot Summer Singletrack Trail Race takes place in Franke Park, Fort Wayne, IN. The event features mountain bike, trail run and wheelchair competitions on technical dirt trails and adjoining paved and gravel surfaces. Awards are given to the winner of each category. Tent city near the hub at the base of Derby Hill provides a central area for participants and crews. Picnic-style food and snacks are included with the registration fee.
Events, courses and entry
Events include six-hour and three-hour formats for mountain bikes, trail running and wheelchair divisions. Entry fees are listed at $30, and the race is free for people 18 and under. Mountain bike competitors use a seven-mile loop of technical dirt trails. Trail runners use a three-mile loop of the technical dirt trails. Wheelchair athletes follow a course of paved path and gravel road.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available at the HUB in Franke Park on the day before and the day of the race. The organizer acknowledges support from UAW Local 2209, which helps keep registration fees low. Participants and crews can set up pop-up shelters near the hub and use the tent city area as a base camp.
