Hornedo Middle School 2nd Annual 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The event takes place at Hornedo Middle School in El Paso, Texas on May 17, 2026. It combines a community 5K race and a 1 mile fun run/walk and is presented as a family-oriented morning with additional activities.
Activities on site include a photo booth, live music, and food trucks. Packet pick-up is available early on Friday, May 15 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hornedo Middle School, and on race day Sunday, May 17 from 7:00 am to 7:45 am at the school blacktop by the race start.

Registration fees are tiered. Early bird, tier 2, and late pricing apply with different rates for adults, participants 18 and under, and children 10 and younger. Children 10 and younger may register for free but do not receive a shirt or medal. A Sleep-In option is available for a fee and does not include a shirt or medal. Team entries of 10 or more receive a $5 discount under the stated team registration rules.
Awards include finisher medals for the first 300 registrants across the 5K and 1 mile, 5K age-group awards for the top three male and female finishers in each listed age category, and an award for the largest team.
