Hope On the Run
Hope On the Run is a community fundraising event held in Centre, Alabama. This inaugural event supports the local Pregnancy Crisis Center, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. The event base is located at the First Baptist Church Centre at 300 East Bypass. Participants can choose between several distances and formats:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run or brisk walk
- Family walk
The 10 km course includes a double back trip around the city park and a local elementary school. The 5 km route follows a similar path through the city park and past the local elementary school. For those opting for the walk, the course consists of a circuit around the church grounds.
Registration includes a race shirt for participants who pre-register by the early April deadline. Children aged five and under may participate in the walk for free, though they do not receive a t-shirt. The event uses a staggered start for the different distances.
