The Hope Cures 5K is an annual event held in Hawley, Pennsylvania. All activities are centered around The Inn at Woodloch. The course is designed to wind through the Woodloch Resort property and follows a path along a private lake. The event is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Participants can register for the following distance:
- 5 km run or walk
The registration fee includes a gift, water, and Gatorade. The race utilizes chip timing to record participant results. After the event, a luncheon is provided for those who took part, featuring various food options and cookies in an outdoor setting. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers overall. Additionally, the top male and female participants in age groups ranging from 0-19 to 80+ receive recognition. Every person who completes the distance receives a finisher medal, and special items are provided for children aged 10 and under.
The proceeds from the event benefit the Penn State Cancer Institute. Many participants choose to take part in support of or in memory of individuals impacted by cancer.
