Event

Course

The course is a multi-loop trail route that starts and finishes at the Nyack Beach State Park trailhead. Total elevation gain for the full course is 10,928 feet. The route begins with a 5.7 mile small loop that gains 1,204 feet, followed by four identical 11.5 mile big loops that each gain about 2,431 feet. Each loop starts with a 1.6 mile climb to the summit of Hook Mountain. The small loop includes about 0.5 mile of paved trail along the river. On the big loop the Long Path and the Treason Trail are used, with the Treason Trail including a technical, steep 0.5 mile descent to the river.

Aid station and cutoff

One aid station is located at the start/finish area and will be used for refueling and lap recording after each loop. The aid station will provide water, sports drink, and energy gels. Personal drop bags can be stored there. There is a water fountain and bathrooms nearby. The event has a 13 hour cutoff for official finishers; athletes who exceed this time are recorded as DNF.
