Honoring 25 Years of Resilience 5K Run/Walk
The event is scheduled for September 12, 2026 at Valley Stream Central High School, 135 Fletcher Ave., Valley Stream, NY. It is organized as a fundraiser for Tunnel to Towers and takes place on the school campus and adjacent parkland.

Registration options include standard, student, staff, and virtual entries. Base registration pricing is shown on the organizer's registration page and includes processing fees; student and staff rates are offered. Registered participants may receive event shirts, race bibs and chip timing, and personalized bibs if registration is completed at least three weeks before the event.
Amenities at the site include on-site parking, indoor restroom access, water stations on course and at the finish area, first aid and medical support, music at the start and finish, post-race refreshments, live/text/email results, and free finish line photography. The course begins and ends at the gate connecting the high school to A.J. Hendrickson Park, follows the northern loop through A.J. Hendrickson Park and Valley Stream State Park, and repeats that loop twice to complete the full 5K distance.
Awards are planned for top overall, top student, and top staff finishers. Virtual participants may upload times and photos during the event window specified by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
