Honoring 25 Years of Resilience 5K Run/Walk
Honoring 25 Years of Resilience 5K Run/Walk takes place on September 12, 2026 at Valley Stream Central High School, 135 Fletcher Ave, Valley Stream, New York. The event serves as a fundraiser for Tunnel to Towers.

- Virtual 5K run/walk with online time and photo uploads allowed from race day through the following Sunday

Participants who register three weeks in advance may receive a personalized bib. Check-in and bib pickup are held at the Valley Stream Central Gym; last-minute registrants within 24 hours are noted to receive their bib number by text.
The course begins and ends at the gate connecting Valley Stream Central High School to A.J. Hendrickson Park, proceeds north through A.J. Hendrickson Park, crosses Hendrickson Avenue into Valley Stream State Park, follows the northern loop twice to complete the full 5K, and returns to the school gate for the finish.
On-course amenities listed by the organizer include on-site parking, indoor restrooms, water stations on course and at the finish line, music and a DJ at the start and finish area, race bib and chip timing, first aid and medical support, post-race refreshments, event shirts for those registered before August 31, live results and free finish line photos.
