HomeRun for the Homeless, El Paso, August 15, 2026
The 13th annual HomeRun for the Homeless is a community running event held at Southwest University Park in El Paso. All money raised will help the Opportunity Center for the Homeless, a 501(c)(3) organization; sponsorships are tax-deductible.
Event options include:
- 5K Competitive Run: 3.1 miles
- 5K Fun Run/Walk (not timed): 3.1 miles
- Kids' Dash: 1 mile inside the ballpark
The 5K course runs through downtown El Paso and finishes inside Southwest University Park. The Kids' Dash takes place inside the ballpark. A clear bag policy is enforced and pets are not allowed inside the stadium during the event.
Chip timing is guaranteed for competitive runners who register in advance; chip timing is not available for race day registration. There is no race day registration for the competitive 5K. Packet and t-shirt pick up is scheduled the day before at Up and Running, 3233 N. Mesa Ste. 205, El Paso.
Parking options include city meters, Union Plaza Parking Terminal, and the Convention Center Parking Garage. Nutritious snacks and water will be available at the finish. Awards include trophies for top overall finishers, team awards, signature age-group medals for top three finishers in each age group, and finisher medals for the first 800 finishers.
