Homeboy 5K Run/Walk
The Homeboy 5K Run/Walk is the 17th annual community race held in Downtown Los Angeles on September 19, 2026. The event is based at Homeboy Industries, 130 W Bruno Street in the Chinatown area and typically brings together more than 5,000 runners, walkers, volunteers, and families.
The morning program begins outside the organization's Chinatown headquarters and concludes with a street celebration featuring artists, community partners, and vendors from across the city. The event raises funds for Homeboy Industries to support training and services for formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated people, helping participants pursue employment and community reintegration.

- Puppy Fades Doggy Dash, a half-mile canine race
Posted registration fees for 2026 included amounts for each category. The Puppy Fades Doggy Dash includes a limited edition bandana that must be worn during the dash and does not include admission to the 5K. The event page lists a no-refund policy and allows transfers only. Fundraising progress shown for the organization was $127,245.09 raised toward a $300,000 goal, approximately 42% of the target.
