About the race
Dumfries Running Club stages the Holywood Stroll, a road race held at Dumfries Sports Club, 50 Nunholm Road, Dumfries, DG1 1JW (What Three Words: surely.unicorns.tune). The event features a single 5 Miles race on quiet rural roads described as flat and fast, with full chip timing.
Entries are listed as £6, £8 (unaffiliated) and £2 for juniors. The minimum age on race date for junior entrants is 14 years. Entries close on 11 May 2026 at 12:00.
Marshall-assisted parking is available at the venue. Runners are asked to consider car sharing and to respect local residents by keeping driveways clear.
The event is run under UK Athletics rules with a Scottish Athletics permit (ESO14911). Prize categories include first, second and third male and female overall, first male and female 40+, 50+, and 60+, and first male and female juniors.
Standard headphones are not allowed under UKA rules; only bone-conducting type headphones may be used for listening to music. The organisers note that entrant information may be published in race results and shared with governing bodies for insurance, licences or result publication.
