About the race
The Holywood Stroll is a 5 Mile road race organised by Dumfries Running Club on 12 May 2026 at Dumfries Sports Club in Great Britain. The course is described as flat and fast, run on quiet rural roads, with full chip timing. Entry fees are given as £6 and £8 for unaffiliated entrants, with a junior entry fee of £2. The minimum age for junior entry on race date is 14 years.
Registration closes on 11 May 2026 at noon. Race numbers and registration are handled at Dumfries Sports Club, 50 Nunholm Road, Dumfries, DG1 1JW. What Three Words location is surely.unicorns.tune. This is organised as a Scottish Athletics permit event under UK Athletics rules; permit approval is pending.
Marshall assisted parking is available at the venue. Organisers request car sharing where possible and ask participants to keep driveways clear for residents. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third male and female finishers, and for first male and female in the 40+, 50+ and 60+ age categories. Under UK Athletics rules only bone conducting type headphones are permitted for listening to music.
