Holme Pierrepont Grand Prix Series
The Holme Pierrepont Grand Prix consists of four separate running events held over a two-week period. The series utilizes various locations across the Nottingham area, featuring a mix of road and trail surfaces. Most courses in the series are described as flat, with several routes having officially measured distances.
Participants can compete in the following individual events:
- Embankment 5 km: A largely flat course on tarmac with a short stretch of grass.
- Colwick Park 5 miles: A flat course on recently resurfaced tarmac.
- Rushcliffe Country Park 4 miles: A flat route primarily on trail, grass, and tarmac.
- Holme Pierrepont 10 km: A flat course held entirely on tarmac surfaces.
The events are held under race licence 30769. Facilities vary by venue, with the final race at the National Water Sports Centre offering changing rooms, lockers, and showers for participants. Parking options are available at each location, including a free car park at Colwick Park and public parking at Rushcliffe Country Park. Portable toilets are provided at the start areas of the different venues to accommodate runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
