The Hochlandlauf Dresden is a community run organized by SG Weißig e.V. that takes place through the Schönfelder Hochland. The event offers various competitions, including a 0.7 km Bambini run, 1.2 km and 2.4 km runs for children and youth, as well as 7.1 km and 13.6 km courses for adults.
There are also walking and Nordic walking competitions. New this year are team rankings, where the fastest three runners of a team are scored. Finishers receive medals and certificates, and there are prizes for the best runners.
