Hillier Gardens 10K 2026
The Hillier Gardens 10K is scheduled for Sunday 11 October 2026 at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Ampfield, near Romsey in Hampshire. The event is the first-ever 10k permitted to take place within Hillier Gardens in over 70 years and was listed as sold out with 900 entries.
The race is a 10 km road course that starts and finishes inside the gardens. The route runs through the gardens for around 5 km, continues on an out-and-back section through Ampfield Woods, then returns to finish in the gardens. The course is described as flat/undulating. Chip timing is provided via a strip on the back of each race number. Races are held under UK Athletics rules; race permit number is to be confirmed.
Facilities at the event include refreshments, toilets, bag storage, free car parking, pre- and post-race massage, information points, and t-shirt collection. All runners receive a commemorative medal and are given free entry into Hillier Gardens after the run; spectators and companions are offered a special half-price entry for the day. An optional lightweight tech t-shirt is available for purchase for £6 in sizes XS to XXL if ordered by the end of August. The event is supported by goPhysio and organised in partnership with local community groups and Chandlers Ford Swifts.
Age requirement follows UKA rules: entrants must be aged 15 or over on race day. Entries were listed to close on 21 June 2026 or earlier; transfers were allowed up to 4 October 2026.
