HIKE 30K Challenge to the Seven Sisters viewpoint
This is a guided day hike across the South Downs covering 19 miles (30 km) with approximately 690 m of ascent. The route follows high chalk ridges for much of the day, crosses the River Ouse valley, and includes stretches of the South Downs Way and glacial dry valleys. The hike finishes on the beach at Seaford, with distant views of the Seven Sisters cliffs and local coastal features such as the Martello Tower.
The organiser grades the walk as Challenging and estimates hiking time at seven to eight hours. The activity includes return train travel arranged by the organiser and a guided leader who is a trained hike leader and Outdoor Activity First Aider. Toilet breaks are planned on the train, mid morning, at nature stops, and typically at a pub at the end.
Participants should be experienced and very fit, as the route includes multiple steep climbs and a brisk pace for much of the day. Practical details provided by the organiser state the cost as £33 plus the Eventbrite fee and note that payments are refundable up to seven days before the event; after that they are non refundable and non transferrable.
