Highley Aquathlon
Highley Aquathlon is scheduled for 20 September 2026 at the Halo Severn Centre and Severn Valley Country Park in Highley, West Midlands. A permit is listed as in progress and the event expects around 60 competitors. The swim stages take place in Highley’s outdoor 25m pool; transition and finish are at the Halo Leisure Centre, which has a sports hall, gym, changing facilities, showers and ample parking.
Race distances include:
- Adult Aquathlon: 400m swim, 5km run, 50m transition.
- Junior TriStar Start: 50m swim, 600m run, 50m transition.
- Junior TriStar 1 (age 9-10): 150m swim, 1500m run, 50m transition.
- Junior TriStar 2 (age 11-12): 250m swim, 2000m run, 50m transition.
- Junior TriStar 3 (age 13-14): 400m swim, 3000m run, 50m transition.
Swim stages use pool entry and exit steps. Run courses use a mix of surfaces including grass, tarmac, gravel and off-road trails, with undulating and hilly sections; one approach includes a gravel hill climb back toward the leisure centre.
