Event Overview

The Herriman Yeti Run/Ruck 5K & Fun Run is an annual community event held at Butterfield Park in Herriman, Utah, as part of Fort Herriman Towne Days. It features a 5K Run, a 5K Ruck, and a 1-Mile Fun Run.

Race Details

All events start together. The 5K course starts at Butterfield Park, goes along Butterfield Park Way, north on Emmeline Park, through Mirabella Drive, west on Indian Pony Way and Rose Run Lane, and finishes along 6400 W back to the start. The 1-Mile Fun Run starts at the park, heads east along Butterfield Park Way, loops through park pedestrian paths near baseball fields, and returns.

Ruck participants follow the same 5K course but must carry a specified dry weight: men 30 lbs, women 20 lbs, kids 9–17 10 lbs, and kids 8 & under 5 lbs. Pack weight checks occur before the start.

Registration & Inclusions

  • 5K Run registration includes an event shirt, chip-timed race bib, Yeti swag bag, and a finisher woodallion.
  • 5K Ruck registration includes a backpack/ruck patch, chip-timed race bib, Yeti swag bag, and a finisher woodallion. A shirt can be added.
  • 1-Mile Fun Run registration includes a non-chip-timed race bib, Yeti swag bag, and a finisher woodallion.

Standard registration costs are $25 for the 5K Run/Ruck and $15 for the 1-Mile Fun Run. Prices increase by $5 after May 19, and shirt sizes are not guaranteed after that date.

Awards & Logistics

Awards are given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers in the timed events, consisting of a cash prize and an award. Packet pickup is available the day before the race and on race morning at Butterfield Park. Parking is available south of the rodeo arena off Butterfield Park Way. Leashed dogs are welcome.
