Herriman Yeti Run/Ruck 5K & Fun Run
The Herriman Yeti Run/Ruck 5K & Fun Run is a community athletic event held at Butterfield Park in Utah. The event includes multiple registration options for participants of various ages and fitness interests, focusing on a morning of physical activity and community engagement during the Fort Herriman Towne Days.
Available distances and categories include:
- 3.1 Mi (5K Run)
- 3.1 Mi (5K Ruck)
- 1 Mi (Fun Run)
The 3.1 Mi course for both runners and ruckers begins at Butterfield Park and traverses Butterfield Park Way, Emmeline Park, Mirabella Drive, Indian Pony Way, and Rose Run Lane before returning via 6400 W. The ruck category requires participants to carry specific dry weights based on age and gender: 30 lbs for men, 20 lbs for women, 10 lbs for youth (9-17), and 5 lbs for children 8 and under. Weight checks take place at the start line.
The 1 Mi Fun Run follows a shorter route through the park's pedestrian paths near the baseball fields. While the 5K categories are chip-timed, the Fun Run is a non-timed event. Participants in the 5K categories receive a poly/cotton blend shirt, a race bag, and a wooden finisher medal. Ruckers receive a patch and wooden medal, with the option to add a shirt. Leashed dogs are permitted on the course. Post-race refreshments are provided at the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
