HERO 5K - Paramus
The HERO 5K at Bergen Community College supports student veterans by providing scholarships, resources, and opportunities. The event takes place at 400 Paramus Road, Paramus NJ 07652 and includes on-site and virtual participation options.

The kids 1K fun run is open to children 7 years old and younger. The course is a simple loop around a parking lot that is less than 1K. All registered kids receive a finisher medal and a cape they can personalize. Children are encouraged to dress as a favorite superhero in honor of veterans.
Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers. Male and female age group awards are presented to the top three in these groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Registration fees listed in the event information are $35.00 for the on-campus 5K, $15.00 for the kids 1K, and $35.00 for the virtual 5K. Virtual participants are not eligible for age group awards; registrants who post results receive a race shirt by mail and should allow one to two weeks for shipping.
Parking and event logistics note that attendees should enter via the Paramus Road entrance, follow signs and volunteers, park in the top area of Parking Lot A, and then walk to Parking Lot C, about a five minute walk. Bag drop and on-site assistance are available at check-in in Lot C. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
