Hermosa Beach 2 Mile Sand Run
The 8th annual Hermosa Beach 2 Mile Sand Run is scheduled for March 6, 2027 at the Hermosa Beach Pier in Hermosa Beach, California. The event is offered as an in person sand run and a virtual run or walk, both covering 2 miles.
The in person course is on the beach just north of the Hermosa Beach Pier. Runners head north in the sand for one mile, then loop back to the finish line. The organizer lists a registration fee of $35 for each entry type.
The organizer encourages festive and costume running outfits and awards prizes for spirit. The top three male and top three female finishers receive curated prize packages from several retailers including lululemon, Vuori, and Rainbow Sandals. Race shirts are available as an add on during registration; limited sizes and quantities may be available for purchase on race day.
Proceeds from the event support families impacted by pancreatic cancer. The event information notes both on site and virtual participation options to accommodate participants who are not local. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
