About the race

VALIO Helsinki City Run takes place on Friday and Saturday 7–8 May 2027 in central Helsinki and at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. The event organiser reports around 24 000 runners from 110 nations and several race options across two days.

The programme includes multiple race distances:

Marathon (Saucony Helsinki City Marathon), AIMS-certified course, finish at the Olympic Stadium
Half marathon (OP Uusimaa Helsinki City Half)
Marathon relay with legs of 14 km, 7 km, 13 km and 8 km
Helsinki City Double (marathon plus half marathon)

Saucony Helsinki City Marathon in 2027 is the 47th edition. The marathon has an 18 year age limit and multiple services along the route: 11 aid stations offering sports drink and water (some stations offer pickles or bananas), two Red Bull stations, gel supply on the second lap and a comprehensive finish-area refreshment. Pacers are provided with marked target times ranging from 3:00 to 5:30. Entry-fee information for the marathon was published with early-price and later-price tiers; registration by a stated date included an event shirt. Prize categories include general and age-group awards; cash prizes are specified for the general class.
