Heels 4 Wheels 5K - 1M
Heels 4 Wheels is a community running and walking event at Desert Mountain Park, Hawes Road, Queen Creek, AZ. The event includes a 5K, a 1 Mile course, and a virtual race. Divisions are offered for Wheels participants using wheelchairs or assisted walkers and for Heels participants on foot. Bikes and those on foot are not accepted in the Wheels division.
Proceeds support the Spina Bifida Association of Arizona. Funds are used to provide adaptive cycles and to assist with bike repair, replacement, and placement costs. The event notes the goal of promoting activity and mobility for children and adults living with spina bifida.
All participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri fit tech shirt, with an option to decline the shirt for a registration discount. Awards are given for overall male and female top three finishers and for age group top threes in the 5K event, in both Wheels and Heels divisions. Course maps and race day packet pickup are provided at the park. The event is open use and does not close the park. It proceeds rain or shine with no refunds for weather.
