Heart & Sole: The Rowan Jo 5K : Overview
The first annual Heart & Sole: The Rowan Jo 5K takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Fultondale, Alabama. The event is held at Black Creek Park, 749 Yarbrough Rd, Fultondale, AL 35068. Proceeds will benefit Dell Children’s Medical Center, supporting congenital heart defect research and assistance for families affected by CHD.

In-person 5K and Kids 1K entries have an entry fee listed; virtual options are available with and without a swag bag. Registration deadlines are in early February 2026, with virtual registration closing one day earlier than in-person registration. Register by January 23, 2026 to guarantee a race t-shirt.
Awards and on-site features
Chip-timed 5K runners who paid for timing are eligible for awards: Top 3 overall male and female. The 1K awards are finisher medals. Virtual participants are not eligible for medal awards because they are not chip timed. On-site features listed for the event include food trucks, music, and activities for all ages.
