Heart O' Dixie Triathlon
The 47th edition of the Heart O' Dixie Triathlon takes place on June 20, 2026, during the Neshoba County Fair at Lake Tiak-O'Khata and the Neshoba County Fairgrounds in Louisville, Mississippi. The event combines open-water swim, road cycling, and a road/track run across local roads and the fairgrounds.
The course includes a 1/2 mile swim in Lake Tiak O'Khata, a 27 mile bike segment along Highway 15 into Philadelphia, Mississippi, and a 7 mile run that finishes on the horse racing track at the historic Neshoba County Fairgrounds. The triathlon was first held in 1980 and is one of the longest running triathlons in the United States. It also serves as an annual fundraiser for The Refuge of MS.
Race entries are offered in individual and team formats, with listed registration fees for 2026 categories including an individual entry fee of $110.00, a team captain fee of $135.00, and a team member fee of $0.00 for joining an existing team. Registration opens October 15, 2025; some categories close January 2, 2026, while others remain open until June 19, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
