Healing Meals Community 5K
The Healing Meals Community 5K is a running and walking event located in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The race takes place at 1133 E. Ridgewood Ave and serves as a fundraiser to provide meals for families and seniors in the local community. Participants can choose between two primary divisions:
- 5K Run/Walk
The competition is structured into two categories based on performance. The Elite category is reserved for the top ten seeded male and female participants based on provided times. These runners are the only participants eligible for prizes, which consist of gift certificates for the top three male and female finishers. Those selected for the elite category are notified of their placement within 24 hours of the event.
The Open category includes the majority of participants and is designed as a run or walk for the general community. The race uses a hand timing system where results are provided at the finish line. Additionally, a livestream of the event is made available on a video sharing platform, allowing participants to review the footage to verify their finishing times.
