Headless Horseman 5K
The event includes a Headless Horseman 5K, a Monster Mile, and a combined Headless Horseman 5k + Monster Mile. It is a dusk event taking place in Downtown Howell at the intersection of State and Clinton Streets. The course goes through historic neighborhoods and Scofield City Park. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes.
Those who register by September 27th will receive a long-sleeved 50/50 blend shirt. Early packet pickup is scheduled for October 14th-16th at the Oceola Community Center on 1661 N. Latson Rd in Howell during normal business hours.
Walkers, participants with strollers or assistive devices, and dogs on six-foot leashes are welcome at the event. Funds raised support the community event Legend of Sleepy Howell, which provides a safe trick-or-treating experience, particularly for children in rural areas.
