Event details

The 14th Annual Head for the Cure 5K - Austin takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at The Domain - Amy Donovan Plaza in Austin, Texas (3220 Amy Donovan Plaza, Austin, TX 78758). The event raises funds for brain tumor research and related programs, including Texas Oncology - Austin Brain Tumor Center, Path to Hope, and other national brain cancer programs, education, and initiatives. The event schedule includes a kids fun run (untimed), a brain tumor survivor photo, and recognition segments titled Keeping the Faith and Legacy of Love and Special Recognitions.

Registration and fundraising

The main event is a 5K run. Registration categories and fees listed by the organizer include:

  • Early Bird 5K: $34; includes an event t-shirt, timing bib, and medal; ages 9 and up.
  • Early Bird 5K + Dog: $49; includes 5K registration for one person (age 10 and up), a t-shirt, timing bib, a dog bandana, and medals.
  • Kids Fun Run: $25; for children 9 or younger, untimed; includes a t-shirt and ribbon.
  • Virtual Registration: $40; includes a t-shirt and a finishers medal mailed to the participant; race materials are not available for pick up.
