Haven Half Marathon, 30k & 10k
The event comprises three trail races on and around Tomaha Trail and Hwy 44 in Hisega, Pennington County, South Dakota. Courses use local trailheads and roads, with maps provided for each distance.
- Haven 30K: 20.5 miles, 2,700 feet elevation gain
- Haven Half Marathon: 12.37 miles, 1,948 feet elevation gain
- Haven 10K: out and back from Hisega Lodge, course map lists 1,032 feet elevation gain
Course access and logistics vary by distance. For the half and 30K runners, participants may be dropped off at the start or park on Tomaha Trail in Hisega and use event shuttles to the start. For the 10K, parking is on Tomaha Trail north of Hisega Lodge. Race maps and route images are provided for reference.
Registration fees are listed with member discounts available through the Black Hills Runners Club. Youth entries (16 and under) are free but do not include swag. A separate food and drink option is available for an additional fee. To be guaranteed a shirt, registration must be completed by July 18, 2026. Registration closes on July 25, 2026.
Packet pickup is available at the parking/shuttle area on race day at check-in. Directions to Hisega reference Highway 44 and Hisega Road from Rapid City and other regional routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
