Harrogate Triathlon 2026
The Harrogate Triathlon is organised by the Harrogate Tri Club and takes place in and around the spa town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire. The event headquarters and transition area are located at Ashville College on Yew Tree Lane. This triathlon is a permitted event that requires participants to hold a British Triathlon race licence or purchase a single-use Race Pass.
The competition features an undulating course profile with several distance options:
- Sprint: A 420m swim (14 lengths of a 30m pool), a 25km bike ride (two 12.5km laps), and a 5km run.
- Super Sprint: A 420m swim, a 12.5km bike ride, and a 2.5km run.
- Team Relay: A team of three completes the 420m swim, 25km bike, and 5km run.
The swimming portion uses waves based on estimated 400m swim times. The run course consists of two laps of 2.3km each. Facilities at the venue include water stations, toilets, changing rooms, showers, and baggage storage. Ample free parking is available at Rossett Secondary School nearby.
An event village provides refreshments for athletes and spectators. All finishers receive a medal and a goodie bag. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in the Open and Female categories for both Sprint and Super Sprint distances, along with age group awards and relay team trophies.
