Event Details

The Harrogate Triathlon takes place in and around the spa town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. It is organised by Harrogate Tri Club.

Race Distances

The event offers three race formats:

Sprint: Swim 420m, Bike 25km, Run 5km
Super Sprint: Swim 420m, Bike 12.5km, Run 2.5km
Team Relay (Sprint): Swim 420m, Bike 25km, Run 5km for a team of three

The course is described as undulating. The swim takes place over 14 lengths of a 30m pool. The bike course consists of two laps of approximately 12km each, and the run course is two laps of approximately 2.3km each.

Event Information

Race headquarters are located at Ashville College on Yew Tree Lane in Harrogate. Participation requires a British Triathlon race licence, which can be an annual membership or a single-use Race Pass. Ample free car parking is available at Rossett Secondary School. The event village will offer refreshments, and facilities include toilets, changing areas, showers, and a baggage store. Finishers receive a goodie bag and a medal.

Registration and Fees

Entry fees are £49 for the Super Sprint, £59 for the Sprint, and £79 for the Team Relay. Entry on the day is not available. The race is currently full, but a waiting list is open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
