Harlon Block Half Marathon
The Harlon Block Half Marathon is scheduled for 11/08/2026 in Weslaco, Texas, at 1020 W. 18th Street. The event offers a 13.1 miles course with both running and ruck options and includes a military and first responder pricing tier.
The event uses chip timing and awards trophies to overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are given for first, second, and third place in the following categories: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-64, and 65+. Overall winners are excluded from age group awards. There is a five hour time limit for the course.
Additional event features include a presentation of the colors by MCL Detachment #1456, live music entertainment with performances by Papa Bear & the Cubs and Reserve, a local vendor market, and family friendly activities. There is no race morning packet pick up; packets not collected during scheduled packet pick up are forfeited. The event policy states no refunds and no transfers.
A portion of event proceeds will support the funding of a Harlon Block memorial statue in the local community. Team discounts are available for groups of ten or more and a team registration form is provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
